Housing - Paid abroad Housing - Paid abroad Rent is paid onsite in EUR either in one lump sum at the beginning of the semester, or in installments throughout the semester. These are four options students have used in the past: 1. Pay directly to the landlord in EUR. 2. Make a wire transfer from your home bank (in the US or elsewhere) to the Italian bank of the landlord (there may be additional fees for a wire transfer depending on your bank). 3. Open a personal low-cost bank account in Italy, and make a local wire transfer to the landlord’s bank account. 4. Go directly to the landlord’s bank to make a deposit for the rent payment.
